Alexander Tsikarishvili, artist and curator, co-founder of the Sever-7 group and Jonjoli Flowers, presented his new personal project “Golem and the Rusty Machine” at Marina Gisich Projects. In it, the author, known for his total installations, author's techniques of working with earth and textiles, gathers together, rereads, reassembles, analyzes and illustrates his texts created over the past 20 years. Up to this point, khdozhnik's poetic work was presented in various projects only fragmentally and was not known to the viewer, even those who were well acquainted with his art.

Alexander Tsikarishvili uses a variety of media as forms of “illustration” to the text, its expansion in space and time: video and the author's method of audiography, “talking” sculpture, collage three-dimensional graphics and found objects. By turning the gallery space into a total three-dimensional collage of memories, images marking a certain period of history that flashes before the author's eyes, obscure absurdist mixes, layers and tautologies, the artist seems to be trying to create a multidimensional map of the figurative and conceptual system of his work, revealing to the viewer the mechanics of his own collage method growing from the text. Golem and the Rusty Machine is a project in which the author essentially addresses the reassembly of a personal archive, combining a wide variety of artifacts, while the lyrical, deeply personal nature of the stories paradoxically weaves into a total text that becomes a transcript of historical collapses, movements and mutations.
