In the early 1990s, Vladimir Kustov began conceptualizing necrorealism and developing its theoretical basis. The artist develops the issues of necrodynamics and necrostatics outlined by him, which determine the meanings of his author's codes and symbols. Kustov himself speaks of the transformation of his artistic technique as a transformation of the development of the necromod he is developing. To date, he is the last follower of the principles of necrorealism. Vladimir Kustov, being primarily an actor of contemporary art, acts scientifically systematically and precisely — the vector of development of his artistic practice resembles how science is transformed over time. The artist approaches his method with a well-defined set of tools and symbols, which in many ways resembles the strategy of Kazimir Malevich, who encouraged his students to engage in art as an exact science and often used scientific terminology in his texts and teaching and research reports.
