From the Das Gas series

The artist works in the genre of earthen painting, sculpture and graphics, performance, installation. In his creative practice, he studies the mutations of national understanding, visual cliches and layers of media images.

The Das Gas series continues the exploration of the latest mythology. It combines elements of different visual languages and cultures: high and low, folk and aesthetic, vibrant Flemish painting and strange late Soviet illustration, ancient languages and children's fictional signs, altarpiece architectural composition and ironic characters.
