The practice of artists Dmitry Gretsky and Evgenia Katz has for many years been associated with exploring the theme of the properties and possibilities of “pencil” drawing. The “Cargo‑Fairy Tale” project consists of several parts and narrative stories. The clownish narratives, staged by two characters on large graphic sheets, combine drama and absurdity, unfolding in the confined space of a garage in a private house. The novella about trusting intimacy, скреплённая by rituals of deliberately absurd posing, can be read as an allegorical story about escaping reality. The characters of “Cargo‑Fairy Tale” try to resolve a moral dilemma and overcome the drama of inner emptiness.
