The main motif of the exhibition is fleeting scenes of scanned still lifes or random internet pictures that take shape in ash slabs or oak rhizomes. All this creates the feeling of a paradoxical, impossible object.
All the works at the exhibition are part of Gorshkov's typical strategy of recent years - "a generator of happy accidents", when a work appears as a result of a certain built chain of circumstances. "Gorshkov's Great Attractor" is a great center of gravity (from the English attract - "to attract, to attract"), a black hole into which, in the artist's words, "megatons of information fall, sticking together there into unthinkable chimeras."
The bulk of the works created on the basis of the "Svody" workshops are reliefs. They are divided into 3 types: slabs - wood cuts, glued ash boards and MDF. The MDF reliefs have bright colors and a collage component. The most ambitious and interesting part of the exhibition is the round sculptures made of stumps-rhizomes with milling by a robotic hand. An important component are collage elements: imitation of food, small plastic from artificial stone, etc. Without these elements, all the above-mentioned reliefs and sculptures appear more like experimental samples. The imposition of an additional layer seems to breathe life into the reliefs, populating them, turning them into a background, into a landscape, turning them into a given, into something self-evident and not needing explanation and justification, like nature itself.
