Gorshkov's project is sheer madness! It is evidence that the artist has gone crazy, gone nuts, gone nuts... And how could it be otherwise, if he, in his own words, found a crystal of the purest croesa. How else could it be, if it is impossible, having discovered a crystal, not to go nuts?..

"Crystal of the purest croesa" is a perfect artistic gesture, which is the source of a mysterious alchemical process of transforming ordinary things (craft painting, memes and pictures from the Internet, furniture and everyday items, children's toys, holiday props, etc.) into works of art. It transforms and transfigures the nature of a thing and its physical state to achieve a standard of craftsmanship and an extreme beauty of the object. The stumps sprout luxurious resin and stone sculptural details in emerald and amber streaks, noble bronze flashes with a warm and deep reflection, aluminum cuts the plane coldly and detachedly…

Like a monstrous crucible, the crystal “melts” things that fall into its aura into the quintessence of all conceivable and inconceivable elements, and this bizarre combination of different visual cultures, images, sources, materials, languages ​​and phenomena is completely impossible to understand.
