I'm not You

The paintings of the Elektroson series are characterized by extreme brightness of color. These are the colors of electric sleep, in this case justifying their name "electrician". They have nothing to do with reality, are overly vivid and artificial. According to the artist, when you work with such paints all day, the real world appears to be black and white for a while.

At first glance, "Elektroson" may seem like a "gamified" version of painting, leveling its texture and speaking the language of a comic book of the digital age. However, instead of the idea of interactivity, the paintings carry a deliberate coldness and aloofness. It is unclear where the worlds depicted on the canvas are, and what remains beyond them, where the author/viewer is and who he is. Their apparent gaiety cannot deceive anyone. There is a feeling of disorientation, misunderstanding, and loss, characteristic of the transformation experienced during the transition from the real world to a multitude of virtual ones.

The artist calls her project anesthesia, hypnosis, malfunction, deception, trauma, fear, collapse, mutation, absence, excision… On the eve of the birth of the "Electrow", a friend called her and told her a dream in which Tanya says: "I'm not a candle, I'm not a hydrangea, I don't look like a beetle...". This is how the names of her paintings "I am not a hydrangea", "I am not a mirror", "I am not a machine" ... and watercolors "I am not black", "I am not purple", "I am not a boulder", "I am not a book" appeared…
