In the picturesque pastorals that the authors present to us, nuns possessed by demons go to the light of extinct lighthouses, skeletons mock donkeys, and a monkey tries his best to become a man, but it still fails (it seems because its time has already passed). It's as if we are witnessing dozens of micro-events, such events that took place in another dimension - on the other side of the canvas, where music is playing that sets the pace for the characters, but we don't hear it. At the same time, perhaps the characters themselves have not yet had time to understand this — to understand that the event has already happened, that the lighthouse has gone out, that only lust combined with sincere faith will save the nun, and that the monkey will never become a man.
