Tanya Akhmetgalieva's recognizable artistic style is large–scale textile installations. From the artist's point of view, the very idea of a thread has a very wide range of semantic meanings. She uses textiles as an opportunity to show the connections, relationships that arise between people, and their inner self-image. In his installations, the artist embroider, untie, and pull threads, connecting his characters. For her, the threads represent words and thoughts passing from one character to another, and translate a flat image into three-dimensional space.
