What does the body of modernity look and feel like?
I’m looking for an answer in the digital space, believing that the body and its evolution are linked to the technologies of their time. For me, the “posthuman” of the early 21st century is a digital “replicant,” like in the film *Blade Runner*. If a 20th‑century replicant is a biorobot with an ideal body, then my replicants are digital copies of people.
When working with a portrait, I transfer images from the digital world onto the canvas, transforming them as they move between mediums. A digital image is a replica of a person, offering digital immortality. My characters are digital copies, a new stage in evolution, where the body loses its uniqueness and copyright. I am interested in the experience of the body, face, and psychology as a reaction to these changes.
