From series "My room"

Large-scale textile installations form the recognizable artistic style of Tanya Akhmetgalieva. From the artist’s point of view, the idea of thread itself comes with the wide range of semantic meanings. She uses textile as the possibility to display the connections, relations appearing between people, their inner idea of themselves. The artist in her installations embroiders, knits, spreads the threads, connecting her characters with each other. The threads embody the words and thoughts which come from one character to another and transform the picture in the three-dimensional space. The artwork was on display at the following exhibitions: "Mad House", Multimidea Art Museum, Moscow, 2018 Сontemporary: Drawing. No Limits" at Russian cultural centre Pushkin House, London, UK 2017.
