The series "followed" from another series of watercolors "French Lessons" and "Kite". There, for the first time, I tried to "knit" with water and watercolor color in some places on the sheet. I've never really been able to knit, unlike my mom. But I've always intuitively felt that this activity is very similar to what I feel when I do graphics. My hands seem to move by themselves, and these meditative repetitive actions bring my thoughts into balance.
I think I wanted to calm myself down and feel the passage of time when I was creating these sheets. For me, this is his visual embodiment. Time is like a knitted fabric — day clings to day, turning into weeks and months. The color flows from yesterday to today, from today to tomorrow.
