Marina Alekseeva, a St. Petersburg artist, is a ceramist by training: in 1984 she graduated from the V. I. Mukhina College, and after a while she worked as a specialist at an art factory. However, her creative aspirations were not limited to the "applied" sphere. At the turn of the 1980s and 1990s, in the wake of Perestroika, she became energetically involved in the current artistic process. So, in the first half of the nineties, Alekseeva was a member of the association "I love your life", participated in the creation of funny, even "hooligan" installations and objects. Among them, for example, an inflatable version of the Bronze Horseman and an "edible" painting made entirely of vegetables. After the breakup of the band, already in her independent works, Alekseeva continued to boldly experiment with various forms and mediums.
