The artist's new project includes his sketches for the unreleased film "Doctors and Huts". Kazakov's Megalamanian plan contains an epic story of the interaction of the personalized forces of technological progress and traditionalism. Doctors and huts are people changed by the confrontation. The former, in pursuit of modernization, turned into impersonal servants of medicine, while the latter merged with the image of folk culture straight from fairy tales, a hut on chicken legs.
On the 20 pages of the new project, Boris Kazakov finds huts and doctors everywhere: from drawings on the margins of a notebook to photographs from news editorials. The action in the drawings is not limited to the eternal struggle: huts and doctors fall in love, play, quarrel with each other. Kazakov does not make a battle canvas out of puzzles, but rather forms an ornament. The artist invites us to look through a kaleidoscope into the mythological world of fairy-tale characters, in which here and there you see familiar faces.
