Maxim Ima's project is built on several levels of perception: an excursion into the history of architecture, the practice of street art and the personal history of the artist.
The project is based on the personal experience of the author — his formation as a person and an artist surrounded by a "stone" city. The feeling of crowding, congestion, formed by urban development. From communal apartments — the legacy of Imperial St. Petersburg — to the "panel frequencies" of the outskirts. From personal to professional — at this level, the artist interacts with the surrounding space, changing it through creativity. Street art is human-centered, it is alive, as is the space of the city with which it enters into dialogue.
Ima is "building" his city of the future in a white gallery cube, he is trying to pack the outside into a cube, fill it to the brim. The viewer is asked to solve a dilemma — either to place themselves in an overcrowded space or to go beyond it.
