From the series “Places 6”

A new painting series that visually demonstrates the artist’s interest in corporeality and dance. An improvisational search for the body of painting, for the qualities of tension inherent in the physical, while preserving folds and volume. Painting as the embodiment of a performative gesture, unfolding in the image of a body in space, revealing interconnections of an invisible order. A painting image that differs from the everyday, unfolding inward, into the center of the limit, the point of maximum peace and quiet, of inner support and stability. An autonomous body, a pure gesture of painting, without a focus on the figures of the artist and the viewer.
