Drawing from the "Oversaturation" series

I've been drawing fictional characters on the street for a couple of decades now. Confidently considering myself a creator, I often created painted worlds around them, placed them in various plots. This is the peculiarity of the street as a space for creativity. 
Here is a certain creature with a distorted face disappearing into a sewer manhole, and here is a crack in the wall, as if lightning strikes another on the head. I forced these characters to live, but most of them, for obvious reasons, disappeared under an all-leveling layer of facade paint, which is undoubtedly an important component of this very life.

At a certain point, I decided to try to create works on paper where these characters would lose their bodies and any freedom of action. All that remains is a face surrounded by other faces. I wanted to create a feeling of tightness and stiffness.  Here they are literally and figuratively boxed in. No action, just the fact of being present.  
Individuality disappears, all the creatures "inhabiting the leaf" become one common mass.
