Romantic Love

The collage is imbued with the atmosphere of New York City in the 1980s. It was created under the impression of the TV series «Angels in America», based on the play of the same name.

The play, which is completely covered by the Fin de siecle syndrome (the end of the century), turns out to be painfully familiar at the beginning of this century. And just as then, in the 80s, humanity was afraid of social cataclysms - the cold war, the AIDS wave, the position of a private person in society despite his racial or other characteristics — so now, we are desperately asking questions about the crazy movement of the world rushing into the abyss / bright future (it is necessary to emphasize).

The play formed the basis of the plot of the cult HBO series of the same name, which, by the way, is little known in Russia.

The work focuses on the image of Rudolf Nureyev, a famous, incredible personality whose life was cut short by an incurable disease, but who remained a symbol of incredible talent, romance, and passion. The work focuses our attention on the time of the 1980s, where, according to the author, there was still a place for true romance, unlike the 1990s that followed, where another cult TV series, «Sex and the City», became the main media project.
