In the Limen project, Alexey Gan presents works between abstraction and landscape: liminal (from Latin. The limen —threshold) point separates sensory sensations strong enough to appear in consciousness from those that remain unnoticed. The crosshairs in the works direct the viewer's gaze, forming an obscure landscape. The exhibition consists of works made during the transition period: they themselves are thresholds or houses, illusory spaces of possible transition.

Due to the lack of characteristic details, they seem to avoid the liminal point of perception. They cannot be defined, therefore, each person simultaneously evokes feelings of nostalgia, insecurity, loss and fear of the impossibility of leaving them.
