In the Security Screen project, the artist speaks on behalf of the lyrical heroine, a teenage girl. In his new works, the artist continues to use elements of theatricalization: props and scenery images appear on the surface of the canvas, and in the graphics, the characters are separated from the paper and look like puppets.
"The box opened, and we came across something strange, unidentified… At some point, I started talking about this project as an experience of walking through the woods. In the late afternoon, when it's already dark, you walk with a flashlight, moving by touch. And suddenly something pushes you in the back, knocks you down. You're flying nose—first into the ground, and those seconds, before you break your nose, are the most valuable to me, that's what I work with," Nikita Pirumov shares.
