Vitaly Pushnitsky (b. 1967) is one of the most famous Russian artists of his generation. He was born in Leningrad, graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts, and lives in St. Petersburg.
The album is dedicated to Vitaly Pushnitsky's exhibition "Mechanisms of Time", held in 2012 at the Moscow Museum of Modern Art.
The book consists of photographs of the artist's works from the exhibition and allows you to trace the artist's creative path since the 1990s. The book contains an interview of Vitaly Pushnitsky with Jane Neal about his work and what motivates him.
In his works, the author explores the personal sense of time, based on personal spatial perception. Vitaly Pushnitsky explores classical and modern languages of art in his works.
The photographs from the exhibition represent several dozen series by Vitaly Pushnitsky, which form a complex narrative, where there are branches from the main narrative, but all together form a single story.
