Vladimir Kozin is an artist who has been involved in shaping the St. Petersburg landscape of contemporary art since the 1990s. He is a representative of the “New Dumb Partnership”, co-organizer of the art association “PARAZIT”, founder of the action group “Peace”, initiator and participant of many exhibitions and other events that determined the structure of the local artistic process. The first exhibition that fully presented this modern classic was a retrospective “Imagine You are a Bird”, held in 2019 at the Perm Museum of Modern Art. This catalog grew out of this project and further research work. We hope that this publication will reveal little-known aspects of Vladimir Kozin's work, introduce his practice to a new audience, and be useful to specialists and all those who are not indifferent to art.
